Wedding Crashers

My new favorite thing to do is to crash weddings in which Roberto (my DJ) plays at. The following are pictures from the wedding I and michael recently crashed. Michael sat next to this older lady that was drunk....so drunk to spilled the family drama and spilled the wine all over our table. Besides that we danced our butts off, so hard we had to sleep over and crash in Judy's hotel room.

Oh yeah the bridal party attempted a dance off in the beginning of the introduction during the reception, which some totally bombed because not everyone was committed. SO don't worry my bridal party we still rock, always commit to a dance off.

Everyone I almost fainted this week---very scary! I panicked when this nurse stuck me with the needle two times.

Summertime

Summertime is awesome!!We recently have been a on winning streak with our v-ball team and have had several BBQ . Plenty of beer pong and baggo fun.

I want to say Congrats to Jeff and Carrie soon to be having a boy, it is only fitting as all the family children thus far are boys! We can have our own football team! Awesome!

Thank you Doris for the nice, delicious, expensive, and quality dinner and family time last Sunday.

Thank you Jerry for the cubs tickets--awesome game, sad loss, good crowd for booing Bonds.

To Robert we miss you and can't wait for you to come back to work at Lily's.

It is all about the Triglycerides

so recently michael and I have applied to new york life insurance. my number is 1 and michael's number is 5. You are probably asking yourselves what do these numbers mean. These are our health index, 1-19 and 1 being the best. So depending on what your health exam and health index is, determines how much you pay. I pay $16 and michael pays $55.

Here is how the conversation went with our financial adviser:

Adviser: Michael they found something in your blood.

Me: What is it?

Adviser: Elevated Triglycerides which may lead to coronary heart disease, diabetes and hypertension.

Michael: What??!?!?I will show them next year when I take the exam again.

So basically unless michael gets his act together we will have to pay an extra $400 for his life insurance because he is a five.

So we searched what it means to have high Triglycerides and the things one can do to help it, it is as follows:

• If you're overweight, cut down on calories to reach your ideal body weight. This includes all sources of calories, from fats, proteins, carbohydrates and alcohol.
• Reduce the saturated fat, trans fat and cholesterol content of your diet. (michael loves eggs)
  
• Reduce your intake of alcohol considerably. Even small amounts of alcohol can lead to large changes in plasma triglyceride levels. (Michael loves miller lite)
  
• Be physically active for at least 30 minutes on most or all days each week. (Does not work out at all)
  
• People with high triglycerides may need to substitute monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats —such as those found in canola oil, olive oil or liquid margarine — for saturated fats. Substituting carbohydrates for fats may raise triglyceride levels and may decrease HDL ("good") cholesterol in some people.
• Substitute fish high in omega-3 fatty acids instead of meats high in saturated fat like hamburger. Fatty fish like mackerel, lake trout, herring, sardines, albacore tuna and salmon are high in omega-3 fatty acids. (Michael loves burgers)
  

I conclude: Michael is the perfect text book person that would have high Triglycerides.

The daily grind

So as you all know we went to MI a couple of weeks ago. Just last week we returned and michael was like where is the DS. i was like its probably in my green bag. I checked my green bag...nothing. Than i looked in my red back pack. nothing. I looked in michael's backpack...nothing. I started to look around the house...nothing. Michael was like "I asked you if you packed it and you said you did." I said, "I dont remember you asking me that, I remember telling you I packed the charger." Michael, "Good one may you lost like $250, the trip was like $600." I came to accept that i lost the DS and i even told my parents about how i basically lose everything....until michael was cleaning out HIS bag the other day ....and come to find it, it was in his backpack the WHOLE time.

Today michael was like lets make tacos for dinner, i was like "sure i need to go to dominicks anyways." Michael was like okay also get some salsa. I said okay. Than I rode my bike there and rode back with about 30lbs of food in my backpack and on my handle bars. And than i get home i get right to making the dinner. Michael finishes his dump than shower and arrives to a warm meal waiting. He was nice enough to start cleaning, but also started to complain. "you can wipe up by the stove when you cook...ugh you make such as mess when you cook." i said i would clean because his complaining was getting to me and that i usually wipe up right after i cook, however, i was tired from my bike ride. He insists and finishes the dishes and we were originally watching the plasma together, after dishes he goes into the bedroom to watch tv, without saying a word to me. my daily grind....

This is a must read next to Kite Runner. I love the way Khaled Hosseini writes and weaves his stories and he is able to capture the essence of an individuals character and heartache. I need to learn from him to write my story. Love it!

Second love it for the week is Malcom in the middle. It just cracks me up. They do the most neurotic things. hilarious!

First hate it---Ghost rider the movie and second hate it the man who wears the sun glasses from the ghost rider the movie.

For Jeff's last fun weekend before he starts his new job at Metlife, we went on a short trip to MI. This was filled with some boardgames, ice cream, sun, and an awesome condo! We got there friday and spent the afternoon sitting in the sun enjoying beer and talking or basically gossiping. It was fun. At night we spent playing clue, hockey, scrabble, and DS. Sat was basically the same day except we also went to the beach where there were moths and a nasty odor. All in all it was nice to get away from work and the usual stuff. Best of luck Jeff at your new job, I hope it is better than mine.

The diairies of a wife married to a neurotic man

My next book after my mom's is complete will be "The diaries of a wife married to a neurotic man.".....not referring to myself or that michael is neurotic of course. I mean is it neurotic to take two showers a day and make people believe its because you like to waste water because it is free...when all along it was because you have a natural odor that only at least two showers a day can get rid of and the only reason your wife found out is that one day you slipped up and did not take a shower and your wife realized you stink of foul odor. And once she realized it you made her smell your left armpit up close and than insisted that the right one is worse and that she also needs to smell that because apparently it is amazingly gross....

Anyways Doris, mom, and Robert came into town to visit sat, which was lots of fun. Michael finally got perfect sites and perfect streak on big buck hunter and than got a parking ticket. It was nice to get a new BIKE-thanks to Jeff, mike lee and matt lee.

Congrats to Jeff and Carrie on their engagement and I know it is going to be really exciting to go to the wedding!

I realized I have not been taking a lot of photos--I will work on that!

My new get rich scheme...who wants to help?

So recently I proposed to my mother that I would like to write a book about her life, and she seemed somewhat disinterested and did not think like I did that we would get to be on the Oprah book club. I don't think my mom realizes how resilient her story is. So she is thinking about it, because I told her that basically she would have to tell me every dirty detail there may be, she did not say much after that part...interesting. So this is my get rich or help my parent's with retirement idea, but as you all know my writing sucks, spelling sucks ass, and grammer..what?!? Does anyone know how to write a book? haha

Anyways on to other things...Lily's cafe. I have never been reprimanded by two self proclaimed managers as much as I have at Lily's cafe. I volunteered to help because we had sent my mother in law on a fun trip to the NYC, while the kids worked. Robert sited me two times once for double charging a customer, two for putting a $20 in the $1 spot, oh and three for being lazy and not turning on the right burners on the coffee pot. Michael just had an attitude like he was always too annoyed to tell me to do things, that he would have to put it on himself to do it. Like i offered to help with silverware, he said annoyingly, "I GOT IT." Than both of them just kept reprimanding me on little things, "may are u sure its a large tomato juice?" "mayyang did you shake the tomato juice" "OMG I want to shake u mayyang" I like working, but not for the LEE brothers, I miss lily, one is better than two.

i must say after moving into the city there has been a grieving period of the past year and a half...of GEORGES, PEPE, GEORGES, JEFF's House, BIG BUCK PRO, GEORGES, HOLLYWOOD. i do miss it. Good bye -- :(

doing new things

So we have been pretty busy lately...basically doing a lot of television watching and staring our house because we admire it so much. Michael and I have recently joined a summer v-ball league and plan on attending a new church. We will be starting our hunt for churches this Sunday...very exciting. Michael still commutes from his Lemont job and I currently bike to and from work which is about 12 minutes and sometimes I have to walk which is 45 mins.
Yesterday I went to the CUBS VS. Cardinal game, which by the way was an awesome game, but the cubs ended up losing in the end after overtime-SUCKS!
I recently watched Blades of Glory...the moves and performance-fantastic...one would say beautiful.

Now that michael and I have our own place...I have discovered some things about michael. I clean everything to the best of my ability, he comes home and does the same thing claiming I did not actually do it and apparently to him very clean is not good enough, in fact that is considered crappy, so crappy he has to do it over. I cannot leave any lights on...even when I am reading. I am not allowed to turn on the air unless people are actually dying of heat. If I cook, I apparently also have to clean because I used too many pots, and due to that fact my punishment is to do my own dishes after. SUCKS! Okay i exaggerated a little...but basically thats my new life. I live in darkness and am constantly sweating.

BIG BUCK HUNTER PRO

So once upon a time I had challenged someone in several games of Big Buck Hunter, that I could at the least beat them one out of ten times, since I suck and they are really good. This someone had the audacity to say that they did not think I could even beat them once. SO the challenge was on. Tonight I played this person three games of Buck. I beat this person twice!!TWICE!!This is way better than one out of ten. This someone is michael Z lee a.k.a MZL on the big buck hunter score board.

New Super Mario

Michael and I just beat New Super Mario brothers!!!I'd like to thank jeff and carrie for introducing us to this game!It has been a tough week of long nights and hours, but we did it!
