Jamaica - 2009

We have been back for about 5 days now....and it sucks. None the less I would like to share some very special experiences from our trip. Jamaica is beautiful as usual. Unfortunately we arrived during a time where it is the raining season, so everyday that we were there it was overcast or would rain at least once a day. There were a couple days in there that did not even have any sun. : ( But for the most part a TAN we did get.
First, we spent a day at a different resort using their pool, beach and restuarant. We arrived back to our place for a nice sit down dinner and Michael realizes he lost his wedding ring, not able to really remember where he lost it. interesting...
Second, Michael seemed to enjoy doing breaststrokes in the water, whether it be the pool or the beach. If you ask me beaches and pools at an all inclusive resort is for relaxing, not for intense laps of freestyle. Nonetheless you will see the pictures below of us lounging around laying out and than you will Michael at the nurses station. Michael whilst freestyling his way through the ocean was stung by a jellyfish on his face. He of course wailed and yelled, nothing a little vingar and hyrdrocodone would not cure.
Third, at the all inclusive there is sit down restuarant that states you have to have long pants for men and no jeans. Of course Michael did not pack any pants that were not jean material. So luckily we met some awesome people and Michael had to borrow kakis from someone else.
Fourth, after Eric and Shirley left we just kinda chilled. Michael started to complain about his ear being in severe pain. I looked at him as if he was just overreacting. On th the trip back at the airport he kept saying it hurt a lot. I asked him if he needed to anything, he said maybe he needed to go to the ER. THE ER! It was than I questioned his perception of pain...that did not go over well with him. The after we arrived home, we went to the emergency clinic and Michael had an ACUTE Ear Infection.

All in all - AWESOME TRIP

Extra ! Extra ! Read all about it!

Anyways so I have a new blog for just photos so I have a place to advertise them, since I have my possible first gig, where I would actually get paid. Wee. Camera stuff is expensive no joke. We will see what happens. Since I have not blogged in awhile. I will input some important info to see if anyone is even reading this blog. First I am running a 10 mile at soldier field on Sat. Second I am still not pregnant. Third I feel everyone I know is preggers. Fourth Michael nags at me all the time about being dirty and lazy. If you call running 10 miles, cooking everyday, paying the bills, and living with michael lee as lazy... I don't know what to tell you. Fifth I am currently reading the Harry Potter series and loving it. Sixth I used up all my vaca days and have nothing to do except think of new hobbies that will pay for my living and blog/facebook all day and of course be lazy.

That is all for now.

Taiwan

We are back from Taiwan. Here I am awake at 4AM because I cannot sleep and have a bad case of jet lag. Between Michael and I we had not been back to Taiwan for about 7 - 10 years. It was a good time to see our cousins, family and hanging out with Robert.

Some highlights:
1. Figuring out what to do next with the Lee clan, figuring where to eat.
2. Listening to Lily's life story , whilst doris cried. Amazing story of resilience. It amazes me that a woman can go through so much, but cannot make up her mind on directions?
3. Watching Lily, Jerry, and Yaya find their way to qanzhiling mountain.
4. Meeting Saki the love of Robert's life
5. Eating a nice buffet dinner paid by Doris and John's friend Maycon
6. Playing cards with cousins
7. Playing Mahjong with Aunts and Uncle
8. Spending New Years eve with Robert eating Mcdonalds and watching movies
9. Eating a lot
10. Playing arcade games constantly

Michael wants to go to Taiwan every three years...we will see. Michael says he already misses it.

One thing I am grateful is the work conditions, I spoke with my cousins and they do not get vaca days except during the week of new years. They do not get disability. They don't get paid sick days. They often have to work sat and overtime with no extra compensation.
