Western Caribbean here we come! So on a spur we decided to join michelle and her friends to a Caribbean cruise, which will stop at cozumel, roatan, belize, and grand caymans. I won't lie I needed a break from work and basically was begging michael to let us go. It took two days of researching and proving to him that it will not cost that much, when he finally said, "maybe" and with that the trip was set. But all this is coming back and biting me in my ass.....now all I hear is
"you think we are made out of money"
"you make decisions unilaterally without me"
" we don't have money"
"look at all the money you are spending"
I realized now the minute I wanted to go on the cruise it was a lose lose situation for me, because either I would have been stuck at work and moping about how it would have been, or I will be on a cruise worried that my husband will hate it and than rant the rest of my life about what a horrible mistake I made. Right now staying at work sounds kinda better. Such as life.

I'm not gonna lie, but when I read your blog I immediately had my comment ready to go and when I clicked on comment I was happily surprised that Lin thought the same thing...Michael knew to use a word such as "unilaterally" I mean I can hear him say "whatevs, you always make decisions solo" but unilaterally? doesn't really sound like my brother...unless he really IS made of money and is an Asian Carlton Banks.

P.S. May, don't let Mike make you feel bad, he doesn't understand that to a lot of Americans he is actually considered upper-middle class, and to most other countries like Darfur, Sudan, Ethiopia he is considered wealthy. I think he sometimes forgets to value what he DOES have and only thinks about what he DOES NOT have. I say you go, get a great tan, eat some amazing food, take some hot pictures, and make the rest of us doing the daily grind envious that you got to go to the Carribean! Have fun!

whatevs don't let michael get you down already!! we haven't even gone yet and you're already having bad thoughts. but then again, you did the same thing with Park City and it ended up being fun...so maybe that really is the best methodology...low expectations! yeah..ok...this cruise is gonna STANK!!
